Contribute by Innovation 創新改革回饋業界 The concept of Industry 4.0 and the change of consuming patterns have derived more customised products, driving manufacturers to change their production procedures to cater for the market needs. That is why Robert Lai leads HKATC with a strong vision on innovative operation.He says, “I hope HKATC can gather amomentum to enhance the competitiveness and skills of local enterprises as well as facilitate the development of industrial automation among local manufacturers, especially SMEs.” On one hand, he enthusiastically coordinates exchanges and visits to provide industries with the latest automation technology and drives smart manufacturing by encouraging cross-industry collaborations. On the other hand, he seeks policy support to attract more talents to join the industrial sector, and by personnel development and training, local industrial enterprises are able to enhance their competitiveness. 在「工業 4.0 」發展的推動下，加上現今消費模式的轉變，越來 越多由消費者主導的個性化產品湧現市場，促使製造商調整生 產過程以配合需求。正因如此，黎啟東在創新營運上的堅持促 使他投入協會。「希望協會能夠凝聚業界力量以加強及提升香 港企業的競爭力和技術水平，並協助本地製造業，特別是中小 企發展自動化科技。」他一方面積極為業界組織交流和參觀活 動，務求向業界提供有關自動化科技發展的最新資訊和鼓勵跨 行業合作，從而推廣智能製造；另一方面更尋求政策改革以吸 引專才投身工業，從人才發展及培訓著手去協助本地企業鞏固 競爭力。 Value-added Solutions Lead Ways to Pioneering Position 增值方案成就領航地位 Within years, Industry 4.0 has evolved from a concept to a transformational goal of corporates around the world. Vice- Chairmanof FHKI Group32 (HongKongAutomationTechnology Council,HKATC) andDirector of GOA International Limited Chris Chan says if Hong Kong corporates want to transform, they must choose partners that are able to provide hardware equipment and integrated solutions to get a share of this golden era of industrial automation. GOA started off with metal processing, equipment trading, and European branded parts dealing. However, the floods of pirate replica since Millennium urged Chris Chan to reform with value- added services such as manufacturing solutions and automated integration. “I think it is important to communicate with clients openly in order to fully understand their needs. Hong Kong corporates must be flexible enough to cope with clients’ requirements and changes to provide them with customised system solutions. Being connected to the Mainland market, Hong Kong industries enjoy the geographical advantage that fosters communication with mainland clients and cater to their needs,” he says. With his mind firmly set on quality, Chris Chan shares that he would take the risk to apply new technology in order to achieve effective solutions. He adds, “Some corporates would rather use existing technologies because they are relatively more safe and steady. Despite the challenges, I hope to develop new technology with quality hardware. Being persistent in quality, one will eventually stand out in the market.” 在短短數年間，「工業 4.0 」已從一個概念發展成為全球各大小 企業的轉型目標。香港工業總會第 32 分組（香港自動化科技協 會）副主席兼歌華國際有限公司董事長陳英傑表示，若港商要 轉型，必須選擇既能提供硬件設備，亦能提供整套轉型方案建 議的合作夥伴，這樣才能在工業自動化的大時代中分一杯羹。 歌華的初期業務以金屬加工、儀器貿易和歐洲名牌配件代理為 主。因千禧年後翻版配件泛濫，促使陳英傑重整企業方向，除 買賣硬件外，更同時為客戶提供生產方案和自動化集成的增值 服務。「我認為最重要是以開放態度與客戶溝通，全面地了解 他們的需要。港商須保持靈活去應對客人的要求和改變，為每 位客戶量身打造合適的系統解決方案。香港業界因擁有優越的 地理位置接通中國內地市場，促使了與內地客戶的溝通，更容 易能滿足內地客戶的需求。」陳英傑如是說。 一向重視產品質素的陳英傑坦言寧可承受風險，都要尋求有效 地應用新科技的方案。他補充說：「一些企業會傾向選用舊有 科技，因它比新科技較為安全和穩定。雖然在研發新科技的過 程中難免會遇上很多困難，但我仍希望透過使用質素好的硬件 去研發新科技。只要堅持做好，定能在市場上突圍而出。」 16 Industry News 行業資訊
