WEEE·PARK & ASMPT Factory Visit 

Hong Kong Automation Technology Council organised the visit to WEEE·PARK and ASM Pacific Technology Limited (ASMPT) on 8 November 2021. The event received an overwhelming response and attracted participants from various FHKI industry groups.

Mr Peter Ng, Vice President of Enabling Technology Group of ASMPT, provided a thorough introduction to participants on their semiconductor business development, as well as the electronics manufacturing process from carrier for chip interconnection, chip assembly, packaging to SMT.  After that, the delegation visited the Government funded recycling project -  WEEE·PARK at Tuen Mun to understand the application of state-of-the art technology to extract the hazardous materials contained in refrigerators, TVs, computers, washing machines and air conditioners (Regulated Electrical Equipment) into valuable secondary raw materials.
