The Council successfully organised a mission to Beijing from 11 to 14 August 2025 (Monday to Thursday). The tour was led by Prof Andrew Young, HKATC Chairman and Dr Zhou Ling, HKATC Vice-chairman with Ms Bonnie Chan, Director-General of FHKI joining the delegation.

On 11 August 2025, the delegation attended the World Robot Conference. Mr Peter Shum, Deputy Chairman of FHKI, hosted an exchange session with the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area Administrative Committee and several automation enterprises, gaining insights into the development and future plans of Beijing’s automation industry. From 12 to 13 August 2025, the delegation visited Hollysys Automation Technologies Ltd, Beijing Yunji Technology Co., Ltd, Xiaomi Automobile Co., Ltd and Shanghai MODU Automation Co., Ltd to observe the latest automation technologies and applications.

This mission provided a valuable platform for close-up learning and fostered exchanges between the industries of Hong Kong and Beijing.
